Pentecost greetings to one and all!
At LFP we recognize that the future of the healing ministry is ours to shape – and formation offers our best chance to get there. Together we must continue our efforts to deepen competence and confidence in leading the healing ministry, in integrating mission and values in all that we do. There is urgency in this work. There is also joy!
Bold in our Efforts
Just as the disciples of Jesus were emboldened by the Spirit, let’s continue to think about how to do formation in bigger and more impactful ways. A few select leaders participating in formation programs from a big ministry will not sustain the mission for the future. A one-day program each year will not build mission competence sufficiently. We owe it to our associates who carry the ministry daily to provide opportunities to form community and make meaningful connections with mission and purpose, enlivening us all in the work we are called to do. This is the heart of the ministry, this is the mission we are called to as leaders.
Structure and Support
LFP’s formation programming – including our foundational program Mission: Day by Day™ – utilizes a proven approach that keeps formation affordable and helps you adapt to the needs of your local setting, while making an impact on a larger scale.
The structure cannot help but have you hit a homerun.

Like Michael, you may be responsible for making formation happen within your organization. With all your pressing responsibilities, there is little time to build programming and develop content. If you’re looking for options to expand the work you have begun, reach out to set up a call. We provide a structure that assures success in providing formation.
We often hear, “I have a 1000 (or more) people to get through formation.” We know organizations need help reaching much larger groups, with structures that will scale. Let’s talk about how we can help you initiate an ongoing formation program that will achieve greater impact in your organization. We are a solution.
As participants wrap up formation programs, the question emerges, “what’s next”? We are committed to providing ongoing formation for our clients. We also want to provide flexible and shorter-term formation options for small or large group formation. That has led us to develop new products, including one for Sponsors and one on Spirituality. Stay tuned!
See You at the CHA and LCWR Assemblies
If you will be at Catholic Health Assembly next week in New Orleans, be sure to visit our distinct green booth. We will host a learning-lab – “Building a Reflective Organization” – on Sunday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. Join us if you are able, or contact us if you would like a copy of a handy resource you can use to support the creation of excellent reflections in your organization.
In August, we travel to Orlando to join the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) for their annual assembly. It is our second time exhibiting here and we are excited to be with these inspiring women.
As you enjoy these days of Pentecost, we pray that you will allow the grace of the Spirit to enliven your hearts, as it does ours, for the essential work of formation!

About our image: We love the work of artist, poet, author and Methodist clergywoman Jan Richardson, and are excited that she will be a keynote speaker at the LCWR Assembly this summer. Pentecost Fire prompts us to reflect on the question, how is grace “scorching” us these days? Click here for a reflection on this image and to access resources for your private and shared reflection.
